The subcontractors that a builder uses have a direct showing on the final outcome. I have found that if I save a few dollors by hiring a subcontractor that is lower than everry one in there feild, then I pay for it in the end. It is just not worth the headake or tthe money I have to spend to redo a job because it was not done correct in the first place. I always use good subcontractors.

REMODELING
Remodeling can be as simmple as replacing a few windows or as large as a total kitchen make over. You must have a good plan and it helps to hire a interior decorator. Think of this as a up date to your home. An update not only looks good but adds value.
PAINTING
Everyone is a painter, so they think. A good pianter does more prepwork than painting. They should protect everything that doesn't get painted and make the home look clean and fresh. Be sure to specify the grade of paint you want. It does make a difference.
ELECTRICAL
Electrical work should always be done by an licensed electrican. There is so many fires each year where someone used an handyman, or tried to do the work thereselves. I always use a qualified electrican to do all work.
PLUMBING
Plumbing fixtures are one of the most expensive items in your home. It is best to pick out your fixtures before you start. This will help you stay in budget. I use only proffesioal plumbing companys that are licesned by the state.
CARPENTRY
Carpentry or as some call it trim work, should always be done by a trained proffesional. All carpenters should have a large asortmaent of tools to do any job that is asked. It is not unsusual to ask a corperner to build windwo seets, cabinets, or special door pediments.
WINDOWS
There is more window brands to pick from and types of windows to pick from. You can use wood, vinyl, or allumiumn. Each brand has several qualitys to pick from. If possable, this is a good item to go and look at. Think about the pros and cons.
