            We used Jim Callas (Simply Southern Construction) as general contractor for building of a 30’ x 30’ garage and complete remodeling of our home in Dawsonville, Ga.  We moved from NE Pa in July 2013 and knew nothing about any contractors or suppliers in the area.  We got recommendations from realtors and neighbors and interviewed several contractors and chose Jim.  We chose him because of competitive price and his good attitude about talking out any issues.  He is very knowledgeable and his suggestions on designs and methods of construction are always very good.

            Jim is very knowledgeable of the craftsmen in the area that do competent work at a fair price, and we’re sure that he saved us considerable time and dollars while providing us with a quality job.  We would have been overwhelmed trying to determine competency and fairness among the many choices in this area.   Any issues were quickly resolved and handled between Jim and the subcontractor / supplier without hassle to ourselves. 

            Once the garage was done we again got bids on the internal house remodeling versus a contractor that a neighbor was very happy with. Again he came in competitively and we were very happy with how easy he was to work with on the garage project.  We were very happy with the sub-contractors for cabinetry, tile, and countertops .

            Both projects were completed within the time estimate given by Jim despite weather and inevitable unforeseen situations.

            We highly recommend Jim for your building / remodeling needs.

He is very competent and stands behind his work and word.
